BioMedicines, Inc. Names Hana Berger Vice President Chemical Development and Manufacturing

ALAMEDA, Calif., Mar 3--BioMedicines, Inc. today announced that it has named Hana Berger, Ph.D., as Vice President Chemical Development and Manufacturing.

Dr. Berger is a native of Bratislava, Slovakia and received her scientific training at the Weizmann Institute in Israel and the University of Chicago. She is an organic and natural products chemist with extensive experience in governmental and scientific affairs. Dr. Berger has been responsible for more than 30 Investigational New Drug filings with the U.S. FDA and for 9 product approvals by regulatory authorities in both the United States and in Europe. She is an expert in worldwide manufacturing requirements and is fluent in five languages. Most recently she served as the chief regulatory officer for SangStat Medical Corporation.
