Intarcia Therapeutics, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company developing therapies to ensure the best treatment outcome by optimizing patient convenience and adherence. Intarcia exclusively licensed the DUROS implantable delivery technology for a broad scope of use from ALZA Corporation.  This license enables development programs in the areas of endocrinology, metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatology. Intarcia currently has lead programs in hepatitis C and type 2 diabetes.

In addition to expanding its proprietary development programs, the DUROS technology allows Intarcia to explore partnering opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in disease areas where poor patient tolerance to therapy and inconvenient treatment regimens often prevent effective clinical outcomes.
